Aroma Therapist Tanja’s New Scent: Bohemian Spice
Infused with clear crystal, Bohemian Spice is an exciting addition to the perfume oil collection from Tanja’s company, April Aromatics.
A patchouli-project marathon, titled Summer of Patchouli Love 2011, was created by Monica Miller of the Perfume Pharmer and Skye Botanicals. She reported that Bohemian Spice begins with a gentle vitality provided by welcoming citrus notes of the orange variety:
Sandalwood and patchouli are immediately recognizable, with patchouli being the quieter of the two. Sandalwood (perhaps with some cedar) is at the forefront. The scent is not a dry sandalwood, ― it’s creamy, full-bodied and becomes even more voluminous thanks to patchouli’s herbal and balsamic qualities. The best part is the cuddly vanilla-benzoin drydown. What begins as a lush sandalwood/patchouli pairing, ends with sweet smooth woods.
Blogger and patchouli marathon tester Nathan Branch of New Zealand describes Bohemian Spice as a layer cake of citrus, incense and spice accords slathered in a thick patchouli cream. It was his #1 project choice and explains “it’s not that free-love hippie funk” that many expect of a patchouli blend.
Nathan goes on to compliment the packaging where independently produced brands often lack. April Aromatics supplies high-quality atomizers that spray without drips or mess, and that’s worthy attention to detail.

Finally, read the Perfume Critic review, including Tanja’s elaborated description and many positive comments.
As pictured right, perfumer Tanja infuses this blend with crystals for their intended properties and attributes. Her own description of Bohemian Spice:
it is a masculine, earthy scent with a fresh soapy smell and a delightful spicy-fruity undertone. It is loved by many men and women equally and gives a feeling of being grounded and connected with the earth.
Headquartered in Berlin, Tanja’s mission is to create magical healing scents that help people connect to their harmonic inner core. According to Myan calendar interpreters and shamans everywhere, ’tis is the season for that!

Thank you Delia, my dear friend.
Sending heaps of love to my favourite place on earth: Hawaii.
Hugs,
Tanja
